FCS Data Center

The FCS data center is located in downtown Kansas City.  This is an ideal location outside of high-risk earthquake zones and away from the coasts and hurricane threats.

Our data center has the following features :

Straddles TWO power grids - An entire power grid can fail and our data center automatically fails over to the 2nd power grid.

Uninterruptible Power - One 300 kVA Powerware 9315 UPS system.  Two 500 kVA MGE UPS systems.  2000 KW (2 Megawatt) diesel Caterpillar backup generator.

Cooling - Redundant HVAC cooling towers.  Over 1100 tons of total cooling capacity.  Condenser water loop with redundant pumping system.

Connectivity - Two diverse fiber vaults providing entry for network providers.  Blended bandwidth across multiple providers ensuring uptime.  Rooftop infrastructure for wireless communications.

Security - Both physical (Card Key System) and logical (digital code access, coded cabinet locks) required for entry into the data center.  24/7 video surveillance.

Support - Onsite network operations center to respond to incidents and issues.

Environment - 24/7 monitoring for moisture, temperature and fire.  State of the art fire suppression installed.
